We require the services of a senior/staff level developer to enhance an existing app that matches service providers with customers. The app is built on react native but few new features are still not there in ReactDesign is built on figma

Think of a business model that blends Uber and Task rabbit. The developer will be responsible for fixing a few bugs and implementing the following features in a stable and timely manner:

• We require the services of a senior/staff level developer to enhance an existing app that matches service providers with customers. Think of a business model that blends Uber and Task rabbit. The developer will be responsible for fixing a few bugs and implementing the following features in a stable and timely manner:


• We need the developer to implement an out-of-app status bar which is always on screen whether or not the app is open, while a customer has a service provider in route for a service they ordered. This should be similar to what is seen in Uber when a ride is requested.


• The app currently has a map that displays the location of service providers and customers requesting services, similar to Uber, Lyft, or Zillow. However, the map is zoomed over the entire continental United States by default, and the user must manually zoom to the relevant area, instead of the app presenting the relevant area by default (e.g. 50 mile radius). We require the developer to update the app to automatically focus on the user's relevant local area as a default view, however allowing the customer to explore other areas if the need to look for services for somewhere other than where they are.


• Finally, we need the developer to enable customers who have requested a service to view the approximate location of the service provider as they are in transit to the customer, as a map with a moving icon on it (similar to the moving car icon on the map view in uber when a customer orders a ride). This feature is to be added to the existing map display on the customer’s view. For example, like the live in - app map seen in Uber or Lyft. The in – app map already exists and has a static view of the location when requesting services, but not the live real time location as the provider is in route.

Job Requirements

• 3-5 years of experience with react native and mobile app development


• experience in companies like uber, ola, lyft, etc


• experience with correcting bugs related to maps
